The weight was the most relevant factor in the developing process of this helmet: the outer-shell made in carbon, provides an ultra light and resistant helmet (only 1200 grams).

The comfort of the interior and inner lining is another hard worked feature presenting high technology in tissues: the coolmax - a super fresh and soft tissue that provides an excellent control of the inner temperature.

Along these, night riding is also a privileged factor in this model: reflectors in the front side, lateral and backside of the helmet provide extra visibility and higher safety when night riding.

In addition Carbon presents a removable breath Guard (easy usage and cleaning) and all the latest technical features of the XR1R models as the anti-noise cheek pads and revolutionary Ergo Padding System.

This is the best helmet I've worn.  The visor is vary tall and broad, giving you a fantastic view of the road, sky, clocks and neighbouring lanes.  It makes the slit-like view from my AGV Stealth feel like wearing Ned Kellys Steel helmet in comparison.

Unlike any other motorcycle helmet I've worn, the vents actually work and deliver a tangible flow of cool air to your brow.  It's extremely light, making it a joy to wear on longer trips, as well as coming with adjustable and removable linings to fit the neutrally-designed helmet to your head shape.

Sound Levels are low - even at motorway speeds - and it even has the benefit of being amonst the best looking helmets on the market.

Portuguese firm Nexx - whose range mainly includes stylish open-faced lids - deserve to win an award for this one
